Welcome to the Heart Pack
Our community is for people who love their dogs and want to share stories, encouragement, happy memories, and meaningful connections. Kindness comes first. We review every submitted story and comment before it appears publicly.
Our community promises
- Celebrate dogs and their people. Be kind, patient, and constructive. Disagreement is okay when expressed respectfully, but insulting anyone—or mocking their dog—is not.
- Keep language welcoming. No profanity, slurs, hate speech, bullying, harassment, threats, intimidation, derogatory jokes, cruelty, explicit sexual material, or graphic violence.
- Make room for real life. Joy, grief, old age, difficult moments, and bittersweet memories are welcome when shared with empathy. We do not require every story to be cheerful, but we will not allow attacks or personal abuse.
- Protect your privacy and others'. Do not publish email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, exact locations, account details, children's names, school details, or other information that could identify a child or put someone at risk. Use a nickname if you prefer.
- Share only what is yours. Submit stories you wrote. Only share photos you own or have permission to use, with the consent of anyone depicted. We don't currently accept photo uploads through the story form.
- Keep it relevant and authentic. No spam, sales pitches, affiliate links, solicitations, promotions, impersonation, trolling, scams, political arguments, or repeated posts intended to provoke others.
- Keep medical guidance out of the comment section. You may tell your own experiences, but do not diagnose other dogs, offer dangerous remedies, or substitute for professional veterinary guidance.
- Respect the moderation team. Stories and comments may be edited for clarity, declined, held for review, or removed. We may restrict repeated policy violations. Publication is not guaranteed.
How sharing works
Stories: Use the form on The Heart Pack to send a private submission to our editors. You must be 18 or older to submit. Include a public nickname and a first name for your dog. Our team reviews the story before deciding to publish it as a community feature. Contact email addresses are used privately for editorial follow-up and are not intended for public display.
Comments: Comments on community stories are held in Shopify's moderation queue. They are not visible to other visitors until approved. Replies are in a shared comment conversation rather than private messages or real-time chat.
Reporting and removal
See something that violates these rules or want an approved story about you removed? Please use Report Community Content and include the story link and the nature of the concern. Do not repost offensive material to report it.
How we moderate
We review submissions and comments against these guidelines, and Shopify may flag suspected spam. No automated tool or human process can promise perfect prevention. Report content that concerns you and we'll review it. Reports are not public. We reserve the right to decline or remove content at our discretion.
